About Me

My Story

My husband and I have been married for twenty-eight years and are proud parents of seven children. Five are in college or recent graduates and the last two are in elementary school. I always wanted to be a stay-home mom and never desired to enter the workforce again.

I had acid reflux with each of my pregnancies however the last two was quite intense. My esophagus would tighten and I could not swallow anything I ate or drank. It was quite scary and often took what felt like minutes to subside. After number seven was born both issues did not go away. My esophagus was scoped and opened then I was put on PPI's. In 2011 I decided to investigate healing my acid reflux and to help my son heal his psoriasis.

I was shocked to learn how much of a difference food made in our health. Since then, I have been an avid learner.

I never considered going back to school until one day she received an impression to get a nutrition degree. After research, I decided to attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition® (IIN). I chose this school because it was in line with what I was learning, practicing. Also, some of the visiting teachers were doctors and others I have been learning from on her own.
