Date Nut Bar

Yields

serves 9 - 10 people

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups pitted dates

1 cup raw almonds

1 cup raw pecans

1  cup raw pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup coconut oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Soak dates in warm filtered water for 30 minutes

2. Preheat oven to 200 degrees

3. Put nuts and seeds into food processor and pulse a few times to break apart

4. Drain the dates and blend in the food processor till it is a paste (reserve the water for another recipe or smoothie)

5. Add date paste, nuts, seeds, coconut oil, and salt to a bowl and mix well

6. Press into a small baking sheet or another pan 

7. Place in oven for 3 hours

8. When cool cut into small squares and put the pan in the freezer to help them hold together

9. After a half, an hour or so put them into snack bags and store in the freezer

Notes

1. The Date Nut Bars will soften at room temperature If they do put them back into the freezer.

2. All nuts and seeds should be soaked and dehydrated to be gut-friendly.
